With over 14,000 photographs, a rich artifact collection, history files & genealogy files, the Dartmouth Heritage Museum has much to offer researchers of all ages.
Unfortunately, the DHM Collection is not currently available online in any format. To access or search the Collection, researchers must first submit a Research Request Form. Please complete the Research Request Form and submit it either by email, mail or in-person. We encourage researchers to be as detailed as possible in their requests. Note: Due to the demand by researchers, the museum takes research requests on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. If demand is heavy, there might be a wait time of up to three weeks before you are contacted. For more information, please contact us by email.
To book an appointment to research in-person, please complete the Research Request Form to indicate the topic of your research and submit it by mail or email. A staff member will be in touch to arrange an appointment.
There is currently no fee for research requests. Fees for reproductions may vary.
In addition to the Collection, a reference library is available on the upper level of Evergreen House for researchers to use. It contains numerous materials on local history, Helen Creighton, etc. and it is available to researchers to use independently.
