With over 14,000 photographs, a rich artefact collection, history files & genealogy files, the Dartmouth Heritage Museum has much to offer researchers of all ages.

To submit a research request, please download and complete the Research Request Form and submit it either by email, mail or in-person. Please note that due to the demand by researchers, the museum takes research requests on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. If demand is heavy, there might be a wait time of up to three weeks before you are contacted. For more information, please contact us by email.

To book an appointment to research in-person, please complete the Research Request Form and a staff member will be in touch to arrange a time.

A reference library is available on the upper level of Evergreen House for researchers to use independently. It contains numerous materials on local history, Helen Creighton, etc. Researchers will not be permitted to access the collection or archives without first submitting a Research Request Form and obtaining staff member assistance.

There is currently no fee for research requests. Fees for reproductions may vary.
