Committees
Collections Management Committee
This Committee is responsible for the artifacts and archives in the collection. Through policy setting, accessioning/deaccessioning items into or out of the collection, the committee ensures that the mandate of the museum is being met through integration and maintenance of appropriate material in the collection. The Committee consists of many different kinds of people, some archivists, some historians, some curators, and others who would be able to offer particular expertise on areas of the collection.
Volunteer Committee
The Volunteer Committee activity encourages, recruits, and manages the volunteer activities at the Dartmouth Heritage Museum through communication, training, recognition of efforts and volunteer management.
Personnel Committee
The Personnel Committee ensures that human resource issues and policy surrounding personnel are up to date and carried out in a professional and caring manner.
Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee coordinates all fundraising activities in the Museum. Although they may not run the individual events, they are the ones that set the scope for the event coordinators.
Event Coordination
The Event Coordinators run one particular event (such as the Monte Carlo night) with guidance and budget from the Fundraising Committee.
Programming Committee
From School to Senior’s Programming, this Committee runs and also brainstorms new and exciting programming for the community. From Tours to Historic Detectives, to Weird and Wacky but What Is It Programs, these dynamic individuals will think up and deliver the engaging programming for public enjoyment and education.
Dartmouth Heritage House Tour Committee
This is the largest fundraising event of the year. The Committee starts early in the year to choose a new group of houses, promote the tour, and coordinate every aspect of this two day event both leading up to and on the day of.
Promotions/Marketing Committee
This Committee takes on the marketing and promotion of the Museum through new marketing direction, formation of new marketing materials, and manning of booths at different events throughout the year.
