The Dartmouth Heritage Museum Society (DHMS) is seeking new members for its board of directors! This is an great way to be involved in the community. The Dartmouth Heritage Museum started when a group of like-minded citizens began presenting collections of artifacts in local schools. It is now a staple in Dartmouth, featuring two museum locations. The DHMS has a crucial role in preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Dartmouth.
If you are interested in volunteering for our board of directors, please apply by sending your resume and no more than 250 words about why you would like to be involved in the DHMS to our Manager, Terry Eyland at [email protected].
We are looking for members with an array of skillsets, but most particularly we are looking for someone to fill our “Volunteer Chair” position, and our “Treasurer” position. Please note that the Treasurer position involves 4-6 hours per month to review financial statements, create reports, and meet with the Manager to sign cheques on site and support budgetary planning activities. If you have interest in one of those positions in particular, please specify which position and highlight your relevant experience in your application.
